Description: 1960s mfr. COLD WAR West Berlin MANURHIN P1 Pistol 9x19mm Luger German p.38 Sidearm for Police in the Allied Zone Post-WWII Ancestry Guns presents a C&R Manurhin P1 Pistol, made to fulfill the West Berlin contract in the 1960s. These pistols were made in France using the Walther P38 design as there was a prohibition on arms making in Germany directly after World War 2. This contract was to arm police in West Berlin, which was under control of the Western Allies during the Cold War period. It is marked with a chrysanthemum on the left side of the trigger guard. These would have seen service for the next several decades. Manurhin is still known today for their superior firearms, especially their revolvers. The overall condition is fine. Original finish and clear markings. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The grips are solid. Numbers match. No import marking.
