Synopsis: Bern, 1929, Swiss Military Pistol, Red Grips & Magazine, Holster, 50587, FB01000 Description: Early 1929 Bern Luger, this example the 587 made, with 4.75” plum barrel with drift adjustable front sight and fixed “U” rear sight. Full matching serial number on barrel, left rail, and rear toggle link with last three digits repeated on sideplate and bottom of barrel extension. All small parts with usual inspector markings. “P” release marking on front of the frame. Forward frame recess dated 10.33, reflecting production in October 1933. W/F logo on back of frame. Uniformly checkered red hard rubber grips with original red plug magazine. Original and correct leather holster dated “35” with later strap, dated “51”. Condition: VG+ original salt blue, the barrel having a plum tone as common in the earliest 1929 Lugers. Light holster wear as one might expect from a carried pistol. Small chip near safety lever neatly repaired. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG holister with some loss of stitching around the hold down strap. ~~Insured shipping fee of $65; most packages shipped using FedEx 2nd Day.~~
