DMW ~ Swiss 1906 Luger ~ .30 Luger

Description:
DWM SWISS MODEL 1906 LUGER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 30 Luger. S# 8017. Bbl. 4 3/4". Model 1906 Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM as a parts kit and shipped to Waffenfabrik Bern to be serialized, assembled, and finished. This example was mfg. and shipped as part of the 1,500 Luger kits contracted by the Swiss military for 1907. Left side of the bbl. extension is marked with Cross/V Major Vogelsang inspection proof, followed by a Swiss Geneva cross, with the Swiss cross within a sunburst insignia marked over the top of the chamber. Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Metal components exhibit a professionally reapplied blue finish overall, with the takedown lever, trigger, safety lever, and ejector exhibiting a matching quality reheated finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Standard clipped blade front sight with Swiss arsenal altered U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, sideplate, grip safety, bbl., bbl. extension (on lug), rear toggle link, as well as the left grip panel. MAGS: 1 8-rd. mag., with replacement wood plug, featuring strawed discs on the "ears" and a strawed metal plate along the bottom. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their reapplied blue finish, showing a few spots of light wear. Frame exhibits numerous small dings and marks along the front above the trigger guard, with more small dings present on the toe of the front grip strap. Sides of trigger pin slot exhibit small porous spotting, with discoloration present on the right side. Strawed parts are ensuite. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show light smoothing, but otherwise present nicely. .30 Luger/7.65x21 Parabellum
