Exceptional DWM Swiss 1906 Luger Military Pistol, with the distinctive Cross-in-Shield marking, all-matching, pre-WWI firearm in excellent condition with mirror bore, a great example that would be difficult to upgrade.
Description:
Standard M1906 Cross-in-Shield military Luger with 4 ¾” barrel having a drift adjustable front sight and fixed U-notch rear sight. Deeply impressed Cross-in-Shield over chamber with usual DWM over middle toggle link. No release marking when deaccessioned from military. Full serial number under barrel and on forward frame. Numbered small parts are all matching with unnumbered grips. Magazine with tinned body and walnut base stamped "H" with aluminum discs.
Condition:
Crisp 98-99% bright original rust blue finish with comparable or slightly lesser condition strawed small parts, thinning in usual areas, no suggestion of touch-up except for trigger. Same holds true for the fire blued grip screws with faded domes. Grips slightly oil darkened, occasional spots of verdigris with sharp diamonds, no cracks or splits. Comparable condition magazine. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. A wonderful Swiss 1906 Cross-in-Shied military Luger made by DWM, especially nice as there are no P-prefix decommissioned stampings and only the most discreet import marking. A real gem for the serious Swiss military collector!
