Erfurt (Luger) P.08, Dated1918, 9 mm
Description: Inv. 5228 Erfurt (Luger) P.08, Dated1918, Caliber 9 mm, Serial Number 55XX m Inv 5228. This is an outstanding example of the scarce German Erfurt Arsenal modifications ordered by the Versailles treaty. The gun retains about 97-98% of the blued finish. There is relatively very little loss other that the usual silvering of the sharp edges and muzzle. There some also some scattered light surface pin pricks on the barrel. The grip strap have even started graying and there are about three little surface nicks. All numbered parts match. Including the walnut grips which are not chipped or split in anyway and show very little wear. The barrel, side plate, take down lever, frame and toggle parts all have the unique Erfurt proof mark. Additionally the frame has the correct WW I military proof marks. The strawed parts are at least at 92-93%. The bore is super, bright, very sharp with very little graying. The gun comes with one unnumbered correct wooden based magazine. For a gun that has been thru two wars it shows very little use. Should be great at the range or for display. $1495.
