Description:

Magnificent Mauser Banner Police Luger, E/L, 9mmP, made in 1940 with 2 factory matching magazines and matching year dated Police holster. The Luger is a standard configuration Police pistol from WWII with 4” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and “V” notched rear sight. 1940 chamber date. Mauser Banner on forward toggle link full serial number on forward frame and repeated on left side of barrel extension. The barrel has no serial number as is correct for this type of pistol. Last two digits on all the usual small parts, including the rear toggle pin and both grips. Full serial number with “x” suffix on each of the magazines which are properly numbered 1 and 2. Original brown Police holster with manufacturer name and 1940 date on back surface between belt loops. No takedown tool.

Condition:

Crisp 98% bright original salt blue with trace muzzle wear, tip of rails and thinning over hump of sideplate. Usual rub mark at base of front strap and sharp edges of stock lug. Crisp oil darkened grips with sharp diamonds. Comparable condition magazines whose plugs show no suggestion of removal or touch up. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics with both magazines. Near excellent holster with intact stitching. An absolutely fabulous WWII Luger Police Rig, fully matching with two matching magazines and correct holster, a rig that would be very difficult to upgrade. Your chance to buy the best!
