Luger made in 1938 at Mauser's Oberndorf factory (code S/42). The pistol appears to be standard for that date. The markings on the side are the inspection/approval stamps for the receiver and for the gun, and the proof/acceptance stamp 83. At this period apparently the inspector at Mauser was still using the old style eagle stamps.
