German P.08 Luger Code 42 Dated 1940 Pistol By Mauser. Serial Number X613, All Numbers Match Except Clip. 9mm With 4 inch Barrel With Bright About Excellent Bore Showing Perhaps Only Some Minor Frosting to the Grooves. The Metal Surfaces Retain About 95% Original Thinning Blue, The Loss Due to Muzzle, Trigger Guard And Sideplate Wear With Fading on The Backstrap And Upper Rear Frame, The Receiver And Rear Frame Sides Having Toned Nicely to Plum. THe Toggle is Marked With a 42 Assembly Code, The Chamber is Dated 1940 And All of The Visible Numbered Parts Are Matching Including The Grooved Firing Pin. The Checked Walnut Grips Rate Excellent With Only Minor Fattening Of The Points, They Are Stamped Numbered to The Gun on Their Interior And Both Have SE-655 Acceptance Stamps on Their Interior as Well. Included is a Single Bright-Bodied, Aluminum -Based Magazine Numbered "5000" With The Number "42" Curiously Stamped Above it Which Rates About Very Good Overall With Minor Oxidation Staining.
