This is a 9mm Luger pistol. Manufactured in 1937 and in very good condition. Serial number 6785 with all matching serial numbered parts. However, the magazine is aftermarket.
It is stamped with 6785 or 85 throughout. The word Gesichert is stamped at the safety.
The side of the receiver shows an eagle/63. Above the trigger guard is 6785 and the letter Y. The bottom of the barrel is stamped with the serial number and an 881 (which is double stamped ~ like a miss-stamped imperfection). The barrel also has an eagle/63 and a lone eagle stamp. The checkered wood grips are in excellent condition. When put under a magnifying glass, some minor pitting is present, but to the naked eye, this firearm is in great shape.
