Luger, P.08, MAUSER S/42, Early “G” Date, (1935), Matching, Battle Worn Original 

Description:
Hindenburg appointed Hitler Chancellor of Germany in 1933. In defiance of the treaty of Versailles Germany soon started re-arming. The first Nazi era Lugers were produced by the Mauser firm (Code S/42) and date marked “K” for 1934 production. In 1935 the date code was changed to “G” signifying that years production.  In 1936 conventional date marking began with the date “1936” marked on top of the receiver.
This particular “G” Date Luger (Pistole Model 08) survives in remarkable condition. At first, I thought that the finish had been scrubbed by some over zelous collector.  After careful examination I realize that this is the battle worn finish of a pistol that saw a lot of service. There are no abrasion marks, and the original finish survives in the protected areas. Surprisingly, the bore is excellent, and the function is flawless. This pistol has been cared for in ways that matter, “Pretty don’t count”.
          All serial numbered parts, excluding the Mag, have matching numbers, including the firing pin. The magazine is marked 771c. The walnut grips are not numbered and may be good replacements. This is NOT an imported Russian capture gun.  Most likely a G.I. bring back. The gun looks much better in person than in the sharp critical photos.        
          This is an example of an early G date Luger with the early proof marks. I find the original finish and patina to be very appealing, a great story lurks within this gun.  It is a great addition to most collections.  9mm with a 4” barrel.  Serial Number 3417c.

SHIPPING:

FIREARMS:
          Modern firearms, post 1898, can only be shipped to a Type 01 Federal Firearms License address.  Curio-Relic firearms, as defined by the BATF list, can usually be shipped to a Type 03 Collectors License address. Some states have additional restrictions such as CA, CT, DC, IL, MD, NJ and NY.
A signed valid FFL license copy either mailed or emailed will be required for shipment to only the license address.
Antique firearms, pre 1898 do not require a Federal License. For purchase, a copy of a Government Issued Identification (Driver’s License, Etc.), showing date of birth and current address will be required.

Your complete satisfaction is assured, see objective above.  If you are not satisfied, please contact me within 3 days of receipt.  Please don’t fire the weapon, safety, function and accuracy are NOT Guaranteed.  Any weapon offered by Beaver Creek Arms is never test fired nor is there any representation the gun is functional and safe to fire.  These guns are sold for collectors and only represented as used firearms that must be checked by a competent person, observe all the necessary safety precautions prior to attempting to load and fire one of these weapons
RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged.  If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made.  Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded.  All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
 PAYMENT: 
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 3% processing fee. For Visa and MasterCard orders please provide the account number, code number, expiration date, name on card, phone number and card billing address. This information can be phoned in, or E-Mailed.  All orders must be paid in advance, C.O.D. orders are not accepted. Checks, both Bank and Personal must clear before the order will be shipped, usually a 2 week delay. 
 LAYAWAYS: 
A 20% deposit is required.  Balance is due in 60 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 60 days.  Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX: 
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyer’s responsibility.
