Description:
Beautiful Luger pistol made by Mauser in 1942 with 4" barrel, drift adjustable front sight and V notch rear sight. Top of chamber dated 42, manufacturer code byf on forward toggle link. Left side of frame marked "P.08". Full serial number on forward frame with letter suffix, the serial number repeated under the barrel and on the left side of the barrel extension. All small parts matched to the last two digits of the serial number including the firing pin and toggle pin. Walnut checkered grips are unnumbered. Magazine with blued body and aluminum base numbered "7369m" /+ with E/63 acceptance.
Condition:
Bright 98% original salt blue with light holster wear in the usual places to include the left side of the barrel band, tip of the rails, hump of the sideplate and bottom of the front/back strap. Grips retain sharp checkering with a slight diamond blunting and minor oil discoloration as imaged. Comparable condition magazine. Mirror bright bore. Correct manual mechanics. A wonderful Luger from late World War II, reflecting the last year of Mauser's production.
