Wonderful Mauser Banner Police Luger, 1939 dated, Eagle C, All Matching with Two Factory Matching Magazines and crisp 1943 dated Police Holster.
Description:
Standard configuration 1939 dated Mauser Banner Eagle C Police Luger, SN: 2283w. Cal. 9mmP, with 4” barrel, drift front sight and fixed "V" notch rear sight. 1939 dated chamber with Mauser Banner on front toggle link. Full serial number on forward frame with the four digits repeated under barrel and on left side of receiver. Eagle C marking on right receiver. All small parts are matched “83” including both grips, the left panel also personalized by the previous owner. Factory matching magazines marked with the full serial number and “1” and “2” respectively indicating the first and second matching magazines. NO IMPORT MARKS! Complete with crisp 1943 dated police holster. No takedown tool.
Condition:
Approximately 98-99% bright original salt blue with very light holster wear in the expected places. Comparable condition grips, very sharp checkering with a few minor losses. Excellent magazines with no suggestion of renumbered/altered bases. Mirror bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics with both magazines. Near Excellent holster with slight crazing of the hold down strap. Clearly treasured as a stand-alone accessory for years as shrinkage will not allow easy insertion of the spare magazine. A beautiful, Mauser Banner Police rig, Eagle/C being one the scarcer markings, especially nice with two factory matching magazines and crisp, dated 1943 police holster.
