Excellent condition original early pre-WWI Luger, "1914 Commercial", made in 1913 and chambered in 9mm Para.
Only about 2000 of these guns were made in 70000-73000 serial range. These were made by DWM alongside with military contract guns and most were purchased by the Imperial German Army officers who were responsible for buying their own sidearms.
The gun retains about 97-98% of its original blue with minimal holster wear and some patina starting to show on the grip straps. It is all matching with excellent bore and matching grips.
Beautiful straw colours on small parts.
The magazine is original as well and is correctly unnumbered. Horizontal Crown/N proof on the left receiver. No import marks.
This is one of the best examples of a rare early Luger variation.
