Description:
For sale is this M10 from RPB Industries (was Military Armament Corporation) a legal open bolt semi-auto pistol (SAP) better known as the legendary MAC10. The RPB manufactured M10 production was short lived, they were in business for less than 3 years. The M10s were too easy to convert to full auto, a favorite in the 70s and 80s drug wars. And in June of 1982 BATF subsequently prohibited the manufacture of open-bolt semi-auto firearms. This ruling is what sealed the fate of RPB Industries. As a result, these grandfathered open-bolt M10 & M11 SAPs command a premium these days as highly sought collectibles. I bought this M10 from a gunshop in Oakland, Ca back in 1981. It took a few trips to the local shooting range for the excitement and allure to wear off. Cleaned it up, threw it in the safe and forgot about it. This M10 is a keeper, its mechanically sound and its in great shape. And now that old age has crept up on me and i have to let it go like all the rest.
