Marlin model 1892 " Marlin Safety" .22 cal lever action rifle

Description:
Very nice Marlin 1892 .22 cal "Marlin Safety" lever action. Good finish, no cracks or breaks in the wood. 24 inch octagon barrel with clean bore. Lyman rear sight comes with gun. There is a neat brass plate nicely inleted in the bottom of the stock about 2 1/2 inches long engraved BUCKWHEAT. I don't know who Buckwheat was but he had a good taste in .22 rifles and took good care of this one. Serial number shows rifle made in 1901.
