Mauser C-96 "RED NINE", Full rig, Cal 9mm Ser. 1102XX.
Description: Mauser C-96 "RED NINE", Full rig, Cal 9mm Ser. 1102XX. Fantastic history on this recent estate gun. The gun besides being a complete rig in awesome condition it also appears to have a startling history. The left side of the gun has the maker's name, L. Dieter and the city Munchen, now called Munich and the number 7. It could be an Royal household inventory number. The records also indicate that there was gun store in Munchen owned by an L.Dieter with the title of Hofbuchsenmeister. Which translates to, "Gunsmith to the Courts" and some say may be the number of a Police Station in Munich at that time. The left side has the initials W.K.M. This could be the owner or some title or department designation. That's the fascinating story. The gun is a real "Attic Queen". Where it sat for about 100 years is not known but it was definitely well carried for. Honestly the gun appears almost factory new. The remaining factory blue is better than 99.9+%. The loss, if any is just some slight sharp edge silvering. The trigger, breech block, sight slide and the safety lever also about 99.9% of the original fire blue. All parts match including the stock and the Red Nine grips. The hammer is correctly stamped NS. The left side has a Horizontal Crown U Proof. The interior, slide rails, bolt face, magazine follower and feed ramp do not show a trace of use. The bore is as pristine as the rest of the gun. Mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. It comes with a almost perfect, save for one small ding a matching wooden holster stock. There's not a split or chip missing anywhere. The hinge still has about 95% of the original blue. An original C-96 Stock Harness in just super shape. The back is stamped J. Eckart 1917 Ulm .A/D, a cleaning rod, which as usual has cut thru the bottom of harness sleeve..and two C-96 stripper clips. I just doesn't get any better than this regardless of the price. What a a great centerpiece for your collection, a great investment and great fun at the range., Plus, we GUARANTEE you will be very pleased with your purchase,,,,,,SHIPPED....$4975.
