Gun is in Very Good condition for its age the Blueing is at 90-95% and the wood checkered grips are in the same high quality condition. All serial numbers match on all parts and shows the Double Crown U proof stamp. Comes with (1) Mauser stamped magazine. See below for some more basic info. on this model: Fourth Variant Mauser Model 1914 -Standard Post-war Serial Number 290100 - 467700 approximately: Because the Model 1914 was introduced just before the beginning of World War I, it did not become available for commercial sales outside of Germany until after the war. Even though the German military had purchased very large quantities of the gun during the war, it was not the standard issue military pistol and so did not fall under the post-war restrictions imposed by the allies. This variant was manufactured from approximately 1923 to 1929, with approximately 178,000 made . The fourth variant Model 1914 is defined by its two-line slide address in all capital sans-serif characters as follows: WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A.G. OBERNDORFA.N.
