Mauser S/42 1937 chambered in 9MM Luger. This is a nice example of an original 1937 dated mauser luger pistol. This series of luger has the all salt blued finish with the checkered walnut grip. The top of the chamber area is dated 1937 with the "42" code markings on the top of the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the double "eagle/655" Waffenamt proofs next to the single spread winged Nazi eagle firing proof which also appears on the right side of the barrel and the left side of the breechblock. The upper safety area is marked "GESICHERT". The pistol is fitted with a magazine with the plastic base. 9mm Luger
