Mauser 42 Code Kriegsmarine P.08 Navy Luger Pistol 1940 Nordsee North Sea

Description:
The Kriegsmarine Lugers are sought after by collectors due to their rarity.  Their naval military service meant that many of them produced would never see dry land again.  Out of the approximate 2,000 Code 42 dated 1940 pistols a small fraction would have made it through the wear.   This pistol retains approximately 90% of the original finish and is in good condition.  The receiver and barrel are stamped with the correct E/655 acceptance marks and test fire proofs.  The grip strap is marked with its "N4689" Nordsee "North Sea" Fleet Inventory number.  The full serial number of 1474 "F" can be found on the bottom of the barrel, the front of the frame, and the left side of the receiver.   The weapon's internal components are all matching, as the last two digits of the serial can be found on the breechblock, extractor, front toggle link, rear toggle link, sear, sear bar safety lever, side plate, takedown lever, thumb safety lever, and trigger.  The extractor is marked "GELADEN" on the left side.  The grips are the correct checkered walnut style and appear aged correctly with the pistol.   The included magazine is a FXO 41/42 magazine with P.08, and double E/37 markings with an unmarked aluminum base.
