Description:
Scarce early commercial low grip screw HSc, this example being the 296th pistol manufactured. Fixed front sight, matted channel & drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide with Mauser banner followed by 2-line address referencing manufacturer, model & caliber. Highlighted "S” (white) & red dotted safety markings. Eagle/N proofing on right side of slide & trigger guard. Full serial number on bottom of frontstrap. Wood grips with impressed checkering. Correct magazine in the white body and rounded Mauser banner floorplate. Disassembly shows matching electropenciled "296" inside slide and repeated as a stamping under the barrel.
Condition:
95-97% bright original salt blue with holster wear around the muzzle and other sharp edges consistent with light-moderate field use. Comparable condition grips, the left panel repaired at top rear; right panel having the forward tip glued in place. VG+ magazine, right side of body with staining, floorplate comparable to balance of pistol. Mirror bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A super desirable low grip screw HSc, a holy grail pistol for any Mauser pocket pistol collector!
