Mauser P.08 Luger S/42 G Code Date 9mm 1935 Mint

Description:
German Mauser S/42 “G” Date code - Luger P.08 mfg. in 1935 - Pre WW2 - In original factory condition - All matching serial numbers - Military Stamps > S/91,B/90,S/92,W/154,DE/211,DE/63 - This is a “G” dated (1935) in the barrel and has Mauser coded designation of “s/42”. Since the Treaty of Versailles only allowed the German Simson & Company to produce any of the small arms granted to Germany after WWI, arms production was done secretly at Mauser. The “S” stands for “Simson” to throw off suspicion, and “/42” was the rest of the code for Mauser factory.
Overall condition is mint. Action is robust throughout. Bore is bright and shiny. Both Grips are in fantastic shape with sharp checkering. All markings are clear and all numbers match. Fantastic piece of a collection!
