Original Mauser, German Police Eagle/L Luger from WWII, 1942 dated, All Matching except magazine.
Description:
Standard configuration Mauser Police Eagle/L Luger, 1942 chamber date, SN: 7901y, with 4” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and fixed “V” notch rear sight. 1942 chamber date, first toggle link marked with Mauser Banner. Full serial number with letter suffix on front of frame with the serial number repeated on left side of receiver. All small parts matched to the last two digits of the SN including the firing pin and hold open. Unmarked walnut checkered grips. Late FXO police marked magazine "2" "966y".
Condition:
Approximately 90-95% bright original salt blue with holster wear in the expected places except front strap mars as carefully imaged. Comparable condition grips with very sharp checkering, a few minor losses, the right panel having several areas of blunting. VG+ magazine. Mirror bright bore with sharp rifling and a few flecks of oxidation. Perfect manual mechanics. An attractive mid WWII German Police Luger, unusual in having been drilled but not provisioned for a sear safety.
