First Year Production Mauser P38 Pistol, byf/42, All Matching with Correctly Proofed Magazine and Matching Dated Hard Shell Holster.

Description:

Standard configuration and original finish Mauser P38 coded byf/42 with drift adjustable front sight mounted over 5” barrel. Fixed rear sight. Left side of slide referencing model, manufacturer/year, and SN, the SN repeated under the barrel, left side of frame and on the locking block. Safety with standard S/F detents. Usual inspection/test proofs on right side of frame. Fitted with dark plastic grips and Mauser accepted magazine with E/135 acceptance at top of spine. Complete with black leather hard shell holster, pull up strap intact. Obverse surface coded “gyx 1942” over a WaA706 acceptance, and large “P38” to the right. No spare magazine.

Condition:

VG bright original blue with holster wear and slight front strap fading in expected locations. No suggestion of touch up. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG+ Holster with expected scuffs, intact stitching, showing no repairs.
