Scarce German military G-Date Mauser Luger from 1935 with factory matching magazine.
Description:
Standard configuration military Luger made by Mauser in 1935 with G-date chamber code and S/42 toggle. Usual 4-inch barrel with drift adjustable front sights, and āVā notch rear sight. Full serial number with letter suffix on forward frame, with SN repeated under barrel and on left side of barrel extension. Military proofs on right side of barrel extension and on the barrel. Last 2 digits on all of the usual small parts, including matching grips. Complete with original matching magazine. Major components rust blued; small parts strawed except for the fire blued toggle pins and grip screws. The "G" on the Luger is code for the year 1935, as Germany was trying to hide the number of pistols made due to the Treaty of Versailles.
Condition:
VG+ overall, mostly original finish, though the barrel extension and toggle train have been touched up, the takedown lever and magazine release button re-strawed. VG/EXC grips and grip screws. Comparable condition factory matching magazine. Very bright bore with minimal etching and sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics.
