Phenomenal Mauser 1914 pocket pistol, circa 1930, virtually new in crisp military "Mauser" marked holster with spare magazine. Virtually impossible to upgrade!
Description:
Stunning late production Mauser Model 1914 Pocket Pistol (Serial #: 478987; cal.: 7.65mm) with salt blue finish, fire blued small parts, wood grips, circa early 1930s. Standard configuration pistol with 3.5” barrel having a half moon front sight and a drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide marked with the single line Mauser address in capital letters. Full serial number appears on the left side of the slide and back of frame. The last few digits repeated on the left side of the barrel lug and under the sideplate. Crown/Crown/U proofing on rear of slide behind sight and on the right side of the barrel lug. Salt blue finish with fire blued extractor, recoil spring guide, trigger, grip screws and magazine release. Light walnut wrap around grip with impressed checkering. Both magazine bodies are in-the-white having three indicator slots. Mauser banner floorplate with square toe. Completing the package is a brown military holster. Inner flap marked "Mauser 7.65." Akah logo under hold down strap.
Condition:
The pistol presents as virtually new, except for oil staining on the grip, particularly in the checkered field on the left side. Negligible fading/sharp edge wear of the fire blued small parts most noticeable on the dome head of the grip screws. Excellent magazines, the floorplate of one having some spotting. Excellent holster, with crisp markings and minimal staining. A fantastic rig, coupling a commercial pistol and spare mag to a military marked holster, virtually impossible to upgrade!
