NEAR Mint 1911A1 Remington Rand 1944 Pistol and Belt Rig
Description:
This is a MINT/near MINT 1944 Remington Rand 1911A1 with a MINT pistol belt and accessories. There is a small (highlighted by the camera) "idiot scratch from the slide stop lever.
The pistol has 100% original finish and ALL original parts. It has not been re-arsenaled or re-finished in any way, and retains near 100% of the original parkerized finish. The slide hardening discoloration is present on the front of the slide and surrounding the slide stop notch.
The barrel is MINT and is properly stamped with "HS" (High Standard) on the right lug and "P" on the left lug.
The Ordnance wheel proof mark shows burnished metal as does the Inspector's stamp, "FJA".
The "P" proof on the frame is the same size as the proof on the slide top.
The holster is a "Boyt - 44" and is also mint. I don't think a pistol has ever been inserted in it.
The first aid pouch contains a NOS, unopened and sealed, "Conray Products Company" first aid packet.
The first aid pouch is a scarce British made "M.E. Co. 1944/British Made"
The pistol belt is MINT and very sharply marked “U.S.". There is no wear on any part of the belt or buckle.
The mag pouch is MINT and clearly stamped "B.B. Co. 1942"
The canteen cover is near mint and stamped "Shane MFG. CO.1942"
The canteen is near mint and stamped “S.M. CO. 1942", also mint is the canteen cup and is stamped '"S.M. CO. 1945"
This is a museum quality Remington Rand pistol manufactured in 1944, accompanied by like condition pistol belt and accessories. It would be nearly impossible to upgrade this rig.
