"WWII Japanese Showa 18.5 Toriimatsu First Series Nagoya Arsenal Type 14 Nambu 8x22mm (L2026-08175)
Description:
"Serial no. 73709. Manufactured in May 1943 (Showa 18.5) at the Nagoya Arsenal Toriimatsu Factory, First Series, chambered in 8x22mm Nambu, 4.5"" round barrel. Bore is good with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching throughout, including the grips and magazine. Approximately 95% of the original finish remains, while the grips are in excellent condition showing only light wear. The pistol is accompanied by its original brown clamshell holster, which remains in overall good condition. Kanji markings are present on the inside flap, with the lower inscription appearing to reference the city of Osaka. Mid-war Toriimatsu Type 14 pistols are well regarded for their quality of manufacture and represent the standard Japanese military sidearm issued throughout much of the Pacific War. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
