Scarce Danish Bergmann-Bayard Model 1910/21, caliber 9mm Bergmann, made by Hærens Rustkammer in Copenhagen, production limited to 1304 pistols, Crown/24 marked, with matching magazine and matching oversized, impressed checkered wood grips.
Description:
Standard configuration Hærens Rustkammer Bergmann-Bayard Model 1910/21 made by the Danish Army arsenal in 1924, caliber 9mm Bergmann in the serial range: 901-2204 . Single action locked breech pistol with 4” barrel, fixed front and rear sights, and detachable 6-shot magazine. Left side of the barrel extension is marked “HÆRENS RUSTKAMMER / 1910/21.” Danish issue number “6430” marked on the right rear of the frame. Right side of the barrel extension and right side of the barrel are both marked with Danish crown/24 inspection/date markings. H.Rk. serial number “1588” marked on the forward frame/barrel extension and repeated on the matching magazine and inside each grip. Model 1910/21 configuration with the improved sideplate retaining screw and oversized wood grips, each panel with a pair of impressed circular checkered panels. Further disassembly was not effected. Major components rust blued; small parts either in the white or fire blued. No holster or other accessories.
Condition:
VG original rust blue finish with sharp edge wear and scattered scuffs and holster wear as one might expect from a pistol that was in military service for over 20 years. Comparable condition grips with oil staining, scattered handling marks and bruises. Near mirror bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics.
