Description:
The early production, high polish Sauer & Sohn 38H pistol was used by the Nazi police as reflected by the Eagle/C marked on the left trigger guard web. Disassembly shows an all matching pistol to include the 1st of 2 police issue magazines. Left side of slide is marked with the manufacturer name and caliber; PATENT appears on the right side of the slide. Full serial number on right side of tang with last three digits under barrel and the last 4 digits/1 on the upper magazine spine. Fitted with original grips and correct magazine whose floorplate is marked with the intertwined SS and the caliber.
Condition:
VG bright original finish with sharp edge wear and scattered areas of thinning as one would expect from a carried pistol. Comparable condition grips, with screw slots slightly buggered, and magazine. Dull bore with easily discernible rifling. Correct manual mechanics.
