Description:
Attractive and expertly restored Taku Naval Dockyard C96 Broomhandle, cal 7.63mm Mauser, now with solid rails and mystery characters on left side of frame. Standard configuration Taku Naval Dockyard Flatside with 5.5” barrel having fixed front sight and slip-in 50-1000 rear sight. Short extractor, single lug firing pin, and large ring hammer. Top of chamber marked TAKU NAVAL DOCKYARD. Mystery characters on left side of frame (consigner says “Presentation”, but who really knows…). Fitted with wood serrated grips. Limited disassembly shows most parts matched to SN: 1982 but with a Mauser follower, sight bar numbered 395 and unnumbered reproduction grips.
Condition:
99% restored rust blue with comparable condition restored fire blue, strawed trigger, and reproduction grips. Dull etched bore with shallow rifling. Correct manual mechanics though safety is difficult to manipulate. A very attractive Taku Naval pistol with several replaced parts and unknown markings on left side of frame. Real conversation piece.
