Synopsis:

This Valmet Lahti L-35 is a wonderful, post-WWII Finnish commercial pistol chambered in 9mmP with a bright original salt blued finish, notable for its historical significance and limited production, this example, with no loaded indicator, one of the last to have been assembled.

Description:

After WWII, Valmet manufactured approx 2500 L-35 pistols in 9mmP for commercial sale, largely using military overrun parts in the serial range 6800-9300. The slide markings having been altered from the military VKT to the Commercial VALMET/L-35. Mechanical features are otherwise very similar to the late military pistols. This very late production, all matching pistol without loaded indicator or stock lug, has the correct brown plastic grips each molded with the VKT logo and secured with a single screw. Fitted with Swedish L-40 magazine with a blued body and floorplate.

Condition:

This pistol retains 99% of its bright original salt blued finish, a few markings on each side of the muzzle band, mainly on the right, and a few very minor handling marks. The serial numbers on the barrel extension and frame are in-the-white, with the serial number on top of the bolt under the blue as correct for original finish pistols. Comparable condition grips and an excellent blued Swedish L-40 magazine. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. An exceptionally nice late production Finnish Lahti L-35 Commercial Pistol that would be perfect in the most advanced collection.
