Walther P.38 German service pistol in 9mm. This pistol is German proofed and all matching, byf 44 coded (Mauser factory, made 1944). Overall extremely nice with better than usual milling and finishing. No serial number letter prefix which generally denotes police contract, however this slide does not have the 'eagle l, n, or f'. Possibly poorly stamped or a mis-stamp. No import stamps, appears all original. Bore is very clean, bright and shiney, with strong rifling. Serial numbered parts include barrel, frame, slide, and locking lug which is correct for this model pistol. This is a very nice pistol in primium condition and with an uncommon production serial number range.
