This interesting single shot unit-marked percussion pistol is approx. 18"" in length. The 11.25"" round 64 caliber barrel has an excellent bore with strong rifling. The barrel has a very small ""L"" over ""AN"" within a triangle on the top at the breech. All metal parts are polished bright. There is a brass blade front sight and fixed rear sight with 19 to the rear at the breech tang. The lock is unmarked. It features a cross bolt safety which prevents the hammer from touching the percussion cap when it is engaged. The replacement stock is fine. The brass butt cap is marked G.A.H. over N: 77. The side strap has a lined through II over A.D.85.A. The action functions correctly. This interesting unit-marked pistol deserves further research.
