Astra 600 9mm Luger Nazi Marked
Description:
We have in our store a cool and very unique piece of history. We have a Spanish Astra model 600 (AKA the 600/43) chambered in 9x19 (9mm Luger), made as a contract pistol for the Nazi armed forces. Initially 50 guns were made of the redesigned Astra 400 and were sent to Germany to be inspected and tested; the new design was approved and production for Nazi Germany began. However of the requested 50,000 pistols only 10,500 were actually delivered to Germany and were put into use. The first delivery consisted of 2,950 pistols and was delivered in May of 1944. The second was delivered in June of the same year and consisted of 5,000 and the third consisted of 2,500 pistols and reached Germany in July of 1944. The rest of the contracted pistols never reached Germany. This pistol which we have in our store was one of the 10,500 that actually did make it to Germany, making it a unique piece for anyone who is an enthusiast and collector of WW2 guns.
The gun is in great over all condition with a fantastic bore, it is an all matching numbers gun, and has a very clear Waffen mark.
