About Us: I've collected militaria since age 14; it's a blessing or a curse, but I'm interested in all periods of history and the the conflicts around them; so I have a varied collection. I have an extensive collection of good reference books, to rely on, before purchasing. I try to buy the best pieces that I can reasonably afford; I consider myself a care taker of the items in my possession, until it's time to pass them onto another caretaker. I'm a active duty USMC vet, followed by reserve time with the Ohio Army National Guard as a bridge engineer.
French Modele 1935 Automatique Pistole Waffenampt Marked
Description: I have a French military Modele 1935 Automatique Pistol with a German Waffenampt aceepatence mark. The 1935 was patterned off of the Colt 1911; the French were so impressed by the 1911 during WW1, that they produced their own version in a light weight model. The pistol is produced by SCAM. Production of the model 1935 started in 1937. When the Germans overran and occupied France in 1940, they were impressed enought by the pistol that they continued production (unitl 1944) and issued them to their own troops. This paticular pistol was produced in 1943 ( script "C" in front of the serial number 211 A). These 1943 prodctions were sent to the depot at Paris for distribution. The waffenampt acceptance mark (A251) is clear in front of the SACM mark. This particualar gun came in a lot of my uncles Nazi bring back souvineers. I've had the gun for about 40 years and recently had a gun smith professionally break it down and clean it. It's fully functional and shows wear and use marks from being in/out of a holster. Please see pictures. If you have any questions, please let me know. I'm open to solid offers. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Handgun Caliber: 7.65mm Longue (7.65mm MAS, 7.65mm Long) |
