This P.38 is part of a very large P/38 collection we have gradually been selling for the owner. With its ‘’1998f’’ serial number this ‘’ac/44’’ was potentially manufactured in earlier-1944. This variation saw much of the fighting right after the D-Day/Normandy Invasion, the Ardennes Offensive/Battle of the Bulge and the final battles of the ETO in WWII.
VERY IMPORTANT FACTS: This P.38, as with all that we have handled for the owner remains absolutely 100% Walther Mid-1944, All Matching thru-out and not import marked and not Russian Capture ‘’X’’ marked! In carefully checking it over, all of the Walther Mid-1944 Factory ‘’In The White’’ parts remain so including a number of parts that were permanently assembled into the blued parts at the Walther Factory in 1944. These include: the barrel locking block release plunger that is Factory staked and non-removable (still ‘’in the white’’)! The Factory matching serial numbered ‘’in the white’’ locking blocks, all springs, all recoil plungers and pins and their springs, other pins etc. are ALL still ‘’in the white’’. Also, the rear barrel chamber beveled edge that is Factory machined is still ‘’in the white’’ being correctly machined bare metal.

Overall, it rates easily at 99%+ and simply magnificent! Even the sharp outer edge of the safety lever shows virtually no wear and even the grip straps rate at 99%+!
Proofs/Markings: All markings are also all Walther 1944 Factory perfect thru out with the left slide having the ‘’P.38’’ followed by the ‘’1998 f’’ serial number, followed by the (in line) ‘’ac 44! On the right slide is the Walther ‘’NAZI EAGLE over 359, NAZI EAGLE SWASTIKA, NAZI EAGLE over 359’’ Proofs! All Proofing and markings remain of course absolutely untouched, deep, sharp, crisp and Walther 1944 Factory perfect.
Bore: Remarkably even the BORE with only a patch ran through it rates absolutely Beautiful Bright, Shiny and MINT! This is outstanding for any Nazi WWII Pistol, especially an actual Military Issued pistol due to the highly corrosive German ammo!
Action/Mechanically: Added to all the above even in this area it is perfect and basically ‘’As New’’!
Grips: The original grips are also simply magnificent and even these also rate every bit MINT and fit perfectly. They are in the un-mistakable (Bakelite) reddish brown color. Even the grip screw is outstanding rating as Mint and 99%+ with perfect slot!

In carefully checking it over, all of the Walther Mid-1944 Factory ‘’In The White’’ parts remain so including a number of parts that were permanently assembled into the blued parts at the Walther Factory in 1944. These include: the barrel locking block release plunger that is Factory staked and non-removable (still ‘’in the white’’)! The Factory matching serial numbered ‘’in the white’’ locking blocks, all springs, all recoil plungers and pins and their springs, other pins etc. are ALL still ‘’in the white’’. Also, the rear barrel chamber beveled edge that is Factory machined is still ‘’in the white’’ being correctly machined bare metal.

Finish & %: The Pistols metal finish at this period of manufacture by Walther is the ‘’Full Blued’’ coloring All finish is un-touched, no cleaning, touch-up or messed with in any way. Overall, it rates easily at 99%+ and simply magnificent! Even the sharp outer edge of the safety lever shows virtually no wear and even the grip straps rate at 99%+!
Proofs/Markings: All markings are also all Walther 1944 Factory perfect thru out with the left slide having the ‘’P.38’’ followed by the ‘’1998 f’’ serial number, followed by the (in line) ‘’ac 44! On the right slide is the Walther ‘’NAZI EAGLE over 359, NAZI EAGLE SWASTIKA, NAZI EAGLE over 359’’ Proofs! All Proofing and markings remain of course absolutely untouched, deep, sharp, crisp and Walther 1944 Factory perfect.
Bore: Remarkably even the BORE with only a patch ran through it rates absolutely Beautiful Bright, Shiny and MINT! This is outstanding for any Nazi WWII Pistol, especially an actual Military Issued pistol due to the highly corrosive German ammo!
Action/Mechanically: Added to all the above even in this area it is perfect and basically ‘’As New’’!
Grips: The original grips are also simply magnificent and even these also rate every bit MINT and fit perfectly. They are in the un-mistakable (Bakelite) reddish brown color. Even the grip screw is outstanding rating as Mint and 99%+ with perfect slot!
History/Use: This era/period ‘’ac 44’’ P.38 pistol being manufacture in earlier 1944 is the exact variation that was encountered by most GI’s just before and after the D-Day/Normandy Invasion and throughout all the continuous hard Battles fought including those continuing in Italy, the D-Day/Normandy Invasion thru France, Belgium, Ardennes Offensive/Battle of the Bulge and the final battles of the ETO in WWII. then into the till the end of the War.

This P.38 is part of a very large P/38 collection we have gradually been selling for the owner. With its ‘’1998f’’ serial number this ‘’ac/44’’ was potentially manufactured in earlier-1944. This variation saw much of the fighting right after the D-Day/Normandy Invasion, the Ardennes Offensive/Battle of the Bulge and the final battles of the ETO in WWII.
