RHEINMETALL Dreyse M1907 7.65 Semi-Automatic SELF-DEFENSE Pistol C&R
Small Conceal & Carry Pistol Made Circa 1910
Description: RHEINMETALL Dreyse M1907 7.65 Semi-Automatic SELF-DEFENSE Pistol C&R Small Conceal & Carry Pistol Made Circa 1910 Here we present a C&R Rheinmetall Dreyse Model 1907 Semi-Automatic Pistol, made circa 1910 in Sömmerda, Germany with a production run between 1907 and 1915. The Rheinische Metallwaaren & Maschinenfabrik (RM&M, later known as Rheinmetall) of Sömmerda was an engineering firm founded in 1889 that primarily made field artillery. In 1901 they purchased Waffenfabrik von Dreyse, a manufacturer of sporting rifles and revolvers which had fallen on hard times. Thereafter, RM&M used the Dreyse name for its small arms production, including machine guns and pistols. The Waffenfabrik von Dreyse was founded around 1841 to manufacture the famous Dreyse Needle gun for the Prussian Army, and they also made needle-pistols and caplock revolvers. The Dreyse Factory went into decline after the German Army adopted the Mauser in 1872. The Dreyse Model 1907 is a semi-automatic pistol designed by Louis Schmeisser. The gun was named after Nikolaus von Dreyse, the designer of the Dreyse Needle Gun. The pistol had an interesting feature for the time, that when the gun was ready to fire, the firing pin projected through the back of the breech block, serving as an early handgun-cocking indicator. The pistol and its derivatives, which were the Dreyse Model 1907 Pocket Pistol and the Dreyse Model 1912 Parabellum, all had a simple blowback recoil operation, though of unusual design. The same company also manufactured a 6.35mm pocket version (also named Model 1907). In 1912 the 9 mm Parabellum Dreyse Model 1912 emerged as the gun's successor. Marked as the RM & M Dreyse, it was chambered for 9mm Parabellum. The overall condition is fine. Original finished is preserved. Strong action. The bore has dimmed with no remaining shimmer and is thinly rifled. Markings are sharp. The right grip is cracked and has a bit of wiggle. The left side is solid. Numbers match. “GERMANY” marked left slide. Own the original! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 3-3/4 inches. Caliber: 7.65mm Auto (.32 ACP) Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1200 #250036 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
