Very Rare, Imperial-Proofed Jager Waffenfabrik Jager Pistol Rig - Two Matching Magazines
Description: This is a very rare example of a desirable "Jager" semi-automatic pistol manufactured during WWI. The unique aspect of this pistol is that the sides of the frame are actually an early form of sheet metal stamping that the rest of the parts were assembled to. The trigger guard/underside of the frame hinges at the lower front and swings downward to exposed the internal components, with some of the remaining parts being stampings combined with standard machined parts. It was estimated that approximately 12,000 were manufactured at Jager and Company, with only a handful actually being accepted by the Imperial German Army at this time. With the Imperial marked Jagers, interspersed with commercial Jagers in the 5,167 to 9,268 serial range. This one is Imperial-marked on the left side of the gun. It comes as a rig with two original matching-numbered magazines and a 1917-dated holster. Fitted with period-correct horn grips. The gun has retained almost all of its finish with some tiny handling marks and scratches around the muzzle and some minor freckling on the top of the slide. Excellent, shiny bore. Price: $9,450.00 Curio/Relic: Yes Handgun Caliber: .32 ACP (7.65x17mm Browning SR) Contact Seller |
