WORLD WAR II Third Reich GERMAN OCCUPIED Czech “fnh” Code CZ 27 Pistol C&R
WWII 7.65mm SEMI-AUTOMATIC Sidearm with HOLSTER
Description: WORLD WAR II Third Reich GERMAN OCCUPIED Czech “fnh” Code CZ 27 Pistol C&R WWII 7.65mm SEMI-AUTOMATIC Sidearm with HOLSTER Here we present a C&R Third Reich German CZ 27 Pistol and Holster, made circa 1943 in German Occupied Czechoslovakia. The Model 27 was adopted by the Third Reich upon their seizure of ?eská zbrojovka after their invasion and occupation in 1939. Many of these semi-automatic, .32 ACP blowback pistols were manufactured until the end of the war, becoming somewhat less finished toward the end in an attempt to save on cost, time and resources. The machining marks grew more visible and the blue applied to the earlier guns was changed to a phosphate finish. Many of these were put in the hands of officers and police during World War II. The pistol is complete with an original factory magazine stamped on the bottom of the base “P. Mod. 27”. In an effort to hide the location of factories producing weapons, in June 1941, the Germans introduced a letter code system to replace factory names. The ?eská zbrojovka [CZ] factory received the code letters “fnh”. In the case of the CZ 27, it was not used until mid-1943. The “fnh” was added to the left slide marking and the “BÖHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G. IN PRAG” marking was removed from the slide top. Early “fnh” marked pistols still had the CZ logo on the grips, which was soon removed. Serial numbers for “fnh” CZ 27 pistols range from approximately 261,000 to 476,000. This specimen is marked “fnh Pistole Modell 27 Kal.7,65” on the left side of the slide with Third Reich German acceptance marks. The right side of the frame is marked “Eagle/WaA76”, and the receiver is marked with “Eagle/Swastika”. The overall condition is good. This example is refinished. Robust action. The bore is shiny bright with nice rifling. Solid grip, with a missing chip on the top left side. Markings are sharp. Numbers match. The holster is good. The latch flap has a tear. Own the original!
