Japanese Type 14 Large Trigger Guard Pistol
Description: Serial #89751, 8mm Nambu, 4 1/2" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some thin freckling within the grooves. This is a Nagoya (Toriimatsu Factory) marked pistol with 16.2 date (February, 1941) and has matching numbers on the visible parts. The metal retains 70-75% of the original blued finish that has freckled to plum-brown throughout, and silvered slightly at the muzzle, and along the exposed edges and projections. There is also a typical circular mark around the safety and some minor pinprick pitting on the gripstraps. The grooved wooden grips are fairly worn, but have no chips or cracks. The single magazine is numbered to a different gun, and is cut for the spring clip. This is a nice prewar Type 14, and is in very good overall condition.
