Single action blowback pistol with external hammer, now bobbed, having fixed front sight, loaded indicator, and no rear sight. The right side of the slide and both sides of the frame have a scattering falsified FN and Mauser markings along with "Crown/R" proofs. Full serial number is on the right side of the chamber flat, slide and frame. The left side of the frame has been fitted with a mid-frame Eibar-type safety, retained with a separate screwed-in forked spring. Original wood checkered grips. Magazine with 5 indicator holes on left side, 3 indicator holes on the right side and a falsified "Mauser Banner" floorplate. This exact pistol is pictured in the "Pistols of the Warlords 1911-1949" by Ian McCollum pages 170-171.
