Standard configuration Taku Naval Dockyard Flatside with 5.5'' barrel having fixed front sight and slip in 50-1000 graduated rear sight. Chamber marked "TAKU NAVAL DOCKYARD". Short extractor, two lug firing pin, full serial number on back of barrel extension and frame with the last few digits on the back of the hammer, transfer bar, sear, follower, floor-plate, and each of the grips. Unnumbered bolt and and subframe, locking block #8554. Under the grips was a thin piece of onion skin paper with markings as photographed, underscoring ownership to a Chinese Police Officer, the note having been dated Nov 21, 1977. Condition:
VG with browning of the barrel and frame, a little more blue remaining on the barrel extension. Several components including the bolt, safety, and subframe have been re-dipped and barrel extension lug shows an old repair. Comparable condition original and matching grips. Dark bore with shallow rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. An interesting and largely matching Taku Naval Flatside with an interesting history as conveyed by the accompanying documentation.
