Classic Austrian Roth Steyr Military Pistol, WWI

Description:

Standard configuration 1907 Roth Steyr with Waffenfabrik Steyr address on top of slide and serial number on right side of frame. Proof date overstamped. Fitted with usual serrated grips, the right panel having a regimentally marked disc, markings not discernible.

Condition:

VG+ original blue with muzzle/sharp edge wear and scattered freckling as one might expect from a carried service pistol from over 100 years ago. Fresher scars on cocking knob suggesting an attempt at improper disassembly. Muzzle slightly recrowned. Oil darkened grips with scattered handling marks but no splits or significant chips. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. One of the more unusual and certainly most complex issue pistols from WWI.
