Description:
An Elgoibar Ruby Pistol in 7.65mm (.32 ACP) is a rugged, historical, Spanish-manufactured semi-automatic handgun heavily utilized during World War I. While originally designed by Gabilondo y Urresti, the massive wartime demand from the French Military forced production to expand. The firm established a dedicated factory in Elgoibar, Spain, and subcontracted dozens of local Basque workshops to manufacture these "Ruby-type" pistols. It utilizes a simple blowback operation, firing from a closed bolt. It features a completely shrouded internal hammer, preventing it from snagging on clothing or holsters. 7.65MM (.32 ACP)
