Description:

Standard configuration single action pistol with 4.75” barrel and drift adjustable front and rear sight. The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detentes are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release marked on the left side of the frame, and discretely applied import marking on base of frame. Disassembly shows a matching hammer assembly with the usual half cock. Fitted with checkered black plastic grips, separate escutcheons, secured with a single transfer screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Complete with original high polish magazine. Leather military holster, dated “67” and strap dated “65” with ownership markings inside lid.

Near excellent, all original, SIG P49, transitional variation, with checkered slide release, blued slide and matte finished frame as correct for guns in this serial range. Complete with dated holster and strap.

Condition:

Near excellent original condition with sharp edge wear as befitting a service pistol that has seen light use. Crisp grips. Bright bore and perfect manual mechanics. Near excellent tan holster with original intact stitching. A very attractive, and somewhat scarce, military P49, with the desirable transitional features that only appeared in a narrow serial range from A109711-A120500.
