This typical WWII Augusta Arsenal 45ACP Model 1911 rebuild consists of a circa 1918 Colt Model 1911 frame married to a Remingotn Rand Model 1911A1 slide. The High Standard barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifliing. The gun has an overall blue-brown finish. The frame has an original 1911 trigger and hammer and is correctly marked for the era. It also has the Augusta Arsenal AA rebuild stamp on the left side above the trigger guard. The WWII replacement brown plastic checkered grips are excellent. The Remington Rand slide is correctly marked M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY. The right top side of the rear sight is dented. The gun is equipped with a WWI/WWII R marked (Risdon Tool and Machine Co., Naugatuck, CT) magazine. The axtion functions correctly. This Augusta Arsenal U.S. Model 1911 rebuild is ready for your WWII, Korean War, or Vietnam War collection.
