"WWI U.S. Colt Model 1911 45 Automatic Pistol (C17690)

"

This circa June 1918 U.S. Colt Model 1911 has correct parts for that date. The barrel has a very good bore with strong rifling and with frosting in the grooves. The metal overall has a smooth brown patina with traces of the blue finish in protected areas. The trigger, hammer, and controls have most of their blue finish. As is often the case with these WWI guns, the U.S. Property marking on the left side of the frame has been removed. All other markings are correct and intact. The diamond checkered grips are very good with the right having a bruise in the middle. The gun has a correct two tone magazine. The action functions correctly. This Model 1911 is a key WWI small arm for your colllection with the price reduced to reflect the one issue mentioned.
