Description: Standard configuration 1911A1 manufactured by Ithaca in 1943, the left side of the slide marked with the usual two-line Ithaca address and "P" on top. The left side of the frame has the "FJA" inspection mark and "P" below the magazine release. The model designation, the SN, and U.S. Army markings on the right side of the frame. The top of the chamber has been polished and the lug is marked with an "F" and "P". It is fitted with blade and notch sights, serrated slide release, thumb safety, narrow serrated hammer, short grip safety, stamped trigger, and checkered Keyes Fiber grips. Correct blued magazine marked with an "S" on the toe. Complete with a U.S. Milwaukee Saddlery Co. "1942" dated holster. Synopsis: Attractive Ithaca 1911A1 pistol, US Military, WWII, Holster, 1456959, A-1815 Condition: Near excellent, original parkerized finish with sharp edge wear, minor thinning, and discolorations reflecting its history of service. Top of chamber polished as previously noted. Near excellent grips and magazine. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. Comparable condition holster.
