Attractive, original condition Ithaca Model 1911A1 U.S. Military WWII Pistol assembled in early-mid 1943, parkerized slide and frame with blued small parts, near mirror bore and correct magazine.
Description:
Standard configuration 1911A1 manufactured by Ithaca in 1943, the left side of the slide marked with the usual two-line Ithaca address. The model designation, SN, and U.S. ARMY / property markings are on the right side of the frame. Proofing includes the “P” on top of the slide and on the left frame below the magazine release, both breaking through the parkerized finish. The left side of the frame has the “FJA” inspection mark while the ordnance wheel is lightly stamped on the right frame near the tang. Again, both break through the finish. The left side of the SA Type 14 barrel lug is marked with an 'S' and ‘P’, correct for Ithaca production to mid-1943. Pistol is fitted with blade and notch sights, serrated slide release, checkered thumb safety, narrow checkered hammer, short grip safety, ached and coarsely checkered mainspring housing, and checkered Keyes Fiber grips with screw head reinforcements. Correct blued magazine marked with an ‘L’ on the toe.

VG original condition Ithaca Model 1911A1 U.S. military pistol, parkerized with sharp edge wear / toning of frontstrap and arched mainspring housing as befitting a pistol that was in service use for nearly two years. Comparable condition blued small parts and grips. VG magazine with insertional wear as imaged. Near mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
