Rare Springfield Armory Model 1911
Description:
This is a rare military 1911, made in 1915 at Springfield Armory. One of only ~30k produced at Springfield for WW1. Many parts marked with the Springfield 'S', proper Springfield barrel. The original blue rates at around 80% with wear on the front edges of the frame and around the muzzle, and thinning/patina on the grip straps. The bore is generally clean but there is minor frost and freckling in the grooves, and the rifling has smoothed down some. Excellent wood grips with no cracks. WW1-era mag with two-tone finish.
